Basic Survival Skills

1.     Tell someone where you are going.

2.     Take along two compasses and a map

3.     Never travel alone

4.     Carry enough food (candy bars) water (1-2 quarts collapsible bottles)  for two days

5.     Wear proper clothing and carry proper equipment

6.     Plan your trip so you return one hour before dark

7.     Know how to build a fire and take proper fire starting materials

8. Have a designated landmark to meet at if anyone becomes separated.
