ENVIRONMENTAL PROJECT:

OBJECTIVE: to increase our students understanding of their watershed, water quality environment, soil moisture, ozone, carbon dioxide and related atmosphere investigation (aerosols/ airborne particles).

STUDENT OBJECTIVES: hands on labs utilizing the Globe curriculum protocols:
Complete the 5 Environmental Mini-Projects below.

_____Air (UFP) - Measure aerosols AIR Quality Lab/NAAQS States and graph( CO2  )

      * Include a Carbon Dioxide graph using Pasco device AQP/Smoke Plume Lab

_____Sand Lab*- determine sediment types
_____Soil Moisture  - Measure percentage of soil moisture, sediment-sand types

_____Water Collection- measure rainfall collection, water chemistry, graph 

_____Sunwise (UV)- Measure ultraviolet radiation and temperature also utilize
 air, water, soil quality web sites and municipal annual water quality reports, septic techniques. 
 

INSTRUCTIONS: OVER THE COURSE OF THE SEMESTER COMPLETE THE FIVE INVESTIGATIONS ABOVE.
THIS PAPER WILL SERVE AS THE COVER PAGE.

The Globe program (http://www.globe.gov)is a global involvement of science students performing scientific investigations and posting their results on the internet.

For each day that it is late one letter grade will be removed from the overall evaluation of it.   FIVE POINTS PER DAY WILL BE DEDUCTED IF LATE.
